Inverter with Chargers (combi units)
A combination inverter and charger is used in situations where you either have AC but want DC energy or vice versa. It will use AC mains power or generator power to create DC power to charge a battery bank. But if no AC power is available it will use DC power from batteries to provide AC mains power. These units are commonly used in marine, motorhome, off-grid, portable site offices, tiny homes or transportable homes.

Tricks for first timers
Only ever consider getting a quality Pure Sine wave inverter for your mains power output like the products we provide. Consideration should be placed on the quality of your generator as its the AC output from the generator that is used to pass through the charger to recharge your flat DC batteries. If the generator has a poor quality sinewave you will not have a functional system as the inverter may not sync with the generators AC output and it won't turn on or provide any power.
