DC converters change voltages from one voltage to another using switch mode technology which is much more efficient than using resistors to burn off excess energy which creates heat.
We carry a range of converters from 48 volt down to 12 volt (downscalers) in different current outputs so you don't pay for more than you need. We also have options for isolated and non-isolated grounds so you don't have to worry about ground-loop or interference feedback or alternator whine.
Converters can also upscale the voltage from 12 volt in industry standard increments of 12 volt, 24 volt, 36 volt & 48 volts.
Charging profiles and also be overlaid with power supplies, for example a typical 24 converter to 12 volt will supply continuous voltage output of 13.6 volts (float voltage of a 12v battery). But we can also provide models that will convert down from 24v to a 12-volt battery that needs to be charge maintained. So a 4 stage profile can charge up to 14.7 volt with bulk, absorption, float, maintenance charge a battery. This may also include ignition on/off or voltage auto sensing features.
