The new battery tester VAS 6161 is the successor unit for the MCR340AKT and MCR340VKT testers previously used.
VAS6161 uses a measuring principle of dynamic conductance detection.
This has the decisive advantage of not placing the batteries under load, thus making several measurements possible without having to recharge the battery.
The new battery tester VAS 6161 is well suited for all areas of the workshop. With its small and handy shape, the battery tester is ideal for receipt and inspection, assessing warranty claims or checking vehicles that are parked up or have been taken out of service.
All types of batteries are stored in the device and can be selected simply by pressing the arrow buttons. A 2D scanner, available as an option, also offers the means of reading the battery code directly from the battery via the scanner. Manual selection is no longer necessary.
The new battery tester thereby offers convenient functions as well as valuable time-saving advantages. An off-load voltage measurement can be performed with no waiting time, for example.
Additional functions, such as an SD card slot, allow storage of several results, a temperature sensor enhances the quality of your measurements and the integrated printer enables immediate print-out for analysis.
The tester can be updated via the interface or SD card, which means that battery data from Volkswagen can always be kept up-to-date.
More than 25 languages are stored on the tester. Power supply from the integrated battery makes the battery independent of a mains network. It can therefore be used anywhere around the world.
